The Cortijo is located 25 minutes from Malaga Airport with the nearest towns being the traditional Spanish town of Alhaurin El Grande (10 mins), the pretty white village of Monda (10 mins) and the popular village of Mijas (15 mins).

The nearest beaches (and best beaches on the coast) are in La Cala which is 20 mins away. The cosmopolitan beach clubs of Marbella and Puerto Banus can be reached in under 25 minutes.

The nearest hotels are the 4* Alegria Golf Hotel (5 minutes), Monda Castle (10 mins) and Shanti Som Spa Hotel (12 mins).  There are also various local B&B’s within a 5 minute drive as well as a variety of self-catering villas available to rent.

The nearest good restaurant is 5 minutes away and in less than 10 minutes you have a choice of restaurants and tapas bars in Alhaurin El grande.

Lidl, Aldi and Mercadona supermarkets are 7 minutes drive and there is a very good minimarket at the local petrol station selling all your essentials, fresh breads and pastries as well as a good wine and alcohol selection. It's less than 5 minutes away and open until midnight.

Nearest party nightlife would be Marbella/Puerto Banus and Olivia’s in La Cala. Both approx. 20 minutes drive
